These eggs come from happy chickens that by day wander the pasture investigating cowpies left by our grass-fed Dexters and by night roost in a custom built coop. Be sure to wash your hands after handling the eggs. We’ve sanded off the gunk, but they are not commercially washed.

Swiss Chard is a leafy vegetable that can be enjoyed much like spinach or kale. It is a fun and colorful addition to any meal. All produce is 100% homegrown on our farm. We believe in improving the soil quality through mindful crop rotation, the use of cover crops and fertilizing with composted manure. We manage all of our weeds through cultivation and fire. Our fertilization plan involves no sprays. Instead we work to manage the quality of our soil. Our goal for 2023 is to raise at least 90% of our own plants from seed to harvest. We do not have organic or natural certifications for our produce, however, you are welcome to follow us on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram to see our practices. Eggs are typically laid within 24 hours of when you get them so they will keep for months. Our eggs are a favorite by many, but don't worry, we always have stock, even in winter! Fresh chicken manure from non gmo fed chickens. Our chickens also free range on 10 acres which has no herbicide, pesticide, or fungicide sprayed. When in season they also eat freely from our orchard. The manure is caught in a tarp that is under their roosting bars. The manure fills a 5 gallon bucket and we will put it into either an old seed bag or cat litter bag. These eggs are produced by Silver Appleyard hens. This breed was developed for egg production, carcass quality and a calm temperament. The eggs are large and rich tasting. Most of our hens are new this year and just starting production. Our dozens are running 30-32 oz. These eggs are great for baking, breakfast or boiling. Use as you would chicken eggs just know they are larger. We currently supply our extended family with lightly brushed, unrefrigerated eggs. We can discuss if you would like them handled differently.

Our hens are “free range” chickens who lay delicious eggs. The eggshells are mostly brown in color, coming in many different shades. however, we now have several chickens that lay varying shades of green/blue. They are all fed Non GMO feed and also enjoy items from our garden (that we froze),prepared ahead of time knowing the winter months would be around the corner. Those items are pumpkin, green beans, cabbage and broccoli. We also sprout wheat berries during the winter months for them. We have left the natural bloom on the eggs so please wash your eggs before using.
