We currently operate over 100 honey bee colonies, all located in the Grinnell area spring through fall. The colonies spend the winter in California to pollinate almonds in February. Our extracted honey is not heated and minimally filtered to provide our customers with all the benefits of pure and natural unfiltered raw honey. We entered our honey at the Iowa State fair for the first time in 2021 and came away with a 1st place Blue ribbon for our extracted honey in glass jars and 2nd place for our 12oz plastic bears both of which are available in this market. While we didn’t bring home any blue ribbons in 2022 we are proud to say we brought home ribbons in 9 different categories including a 2nd place for our cut comb honey, also available in this market.
