This is the same great honey as in our plastic containers but in traditional glass jars to show of the beautiful color and clarity of our honey. The glassware was purchased to enter our honey in the state fair, where we won 1st place in the light amber division in 2021. In 2023 we won first place at the state fair in both the light amber and amber classes in these glass jars.

Our orchard bees do all the hard work while we get to enjoy the excess honey they produce! We make sure to only take a surplus from the bees so as never to cut into their winter supply! Local honey is something to add to your daily diet! Honey never expires or goes bad. If your honey is crystalized place the bottle in warm water to bring it back to the natural state. Our honey is never heated and only filtered to remove the wax cappings giving you a delicious raw honey! Our bees are located on our property in Montezuma, Iowa to pollinate our crops. Product sold in 1 lb. jar.

We believe in improving the soil quality through mindful crop rotation, the use of cover crops and fertilizing with composted manure. We manage all of our weeds through cultivation and fire. Our fertilization plan involves no sprays. Instead we work to manage the quality of our soil. Our goal for 2023 is to raise at least 90% of our own plants from seed to harvest. Aronia Berry Jam is made from our own berries from our orchard here in Searsboro, Iowa. Aronia berries have an earthy flavor and are very tart. The berries being tart makes this a delicious jam. The thickening agent for the jams is also from our orchard, as we use our own early, unripe apples. Aronia berries are said to have 10,000 times more antioxidants than a blueberry.
